LEADERSHIP

HOBY Leadership Program

The trip to Tempe, AZ, in June 2023, served as a pivotal experience in my journey to becoming a leader at home, in school, and within the community. Engaging with diverse perspectives in workshops and discussions helped me cultivate a deeper understanding of differing opinions. This exposure fostered an appreciation for dialogue and collaboration, essential traits for effective leadership. By participating in community service initiatives and networking with local leaders, I gained practical insights into the responsibilities and challenges faced by those in leadership roles. Overall, the experience reinforced the value of open-mindedness and resilience in the pursuit of positive change.

PCDS Upper School Ambassador

Serving as a mentor to middle school students at Phoenix Country Day is a distinguished opportunity reserved for only a select few seniors each year. This role not only allows seniors to share their experiences and knowledge but also fosters a sense of community and growth within the school. Mentors guide younger students through academic and social challenges, helping to build confidence and resilience as they navigate their formative years. The impact of this mentorship extends beyond the classroom, shaping future leaders and creating lasting connections.
